Key Information

At Birchwood Primary Academy we are proud to hold the Eco-Schools Green Flag award. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and teaching our children to be responsible custodians of the planet. Over the past year we have cut our energy use with LED lighting and solar panels, removed single-use plastics from our kitchens, and expanded recycling in every classroom. Our pupil Eco-Council leads whole-school projects on biodiversity — a wildlife garden, bug hotels and community tree planting — and we encourage every family to walk, cycle or scoot to school to improve air quality and reduce carbon emissions at the school gates.
