Despite an overcast forecast, the sun shone for our annual Sports Day — and so did the children. From sprint races to the long-running staff vs. parents tug-of-war, every event was packed and the cheering was the loudest we can remember.

The day raised a record total of [£amount] for our partner charity, [Charity Name], whose work supports children and families in our local area. Thank you to every family who sponsored a runner, manned a stall or donated raffle prizes.

Particular congratulations to the children who completed every event in their year group — and to the Year 6 leaders, who supported younger children at the start of each race with patience and good humour.

We are already looking forward to next year.
